Back acne scars are as humiliating as facial acne scars, also popularly called bacne scars. It’s a different story that back acne gives you even more pain and discomfort than the acne scars on your face. Just ask those who are suffering from back acne and how hard it is for them to avoid clothing friction and carry backpacks!
There are home remedies for back acne too, but as we’re talking about bacne scars right now, let’s concentrate on how to get rid of back acne scars that make it hard for you to wear sleeveless or tank tops! Lesions of acne are just like wounds. If your back acne causes serious harm, your body either produces too much tissue or too little tissue.

This produces a keloid or hypertrophic scar when more tissue is created, and when too little tissue is produced, this results in an atrophic scar. Hypertrophic scars or keloids appear like thick skin patches raised, while the tiny depressions in your skin are atrophic scars. Yes, some of these depressions are more deep than they are wide.
The ice pick scars are called these deep atrophic scars. Now let’s work on some home remedies for acne scars on the back.
1. Lemon
Because of its natural bleaching and skin lightening effects, lemon juice is one of the best back acne home remedies. While the citric acid in lemon helps to lighten the acne scars on the back, the alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) in it help to remove dead skin cells and help to grow new cells.
Furthermore, vitamin C allows your skin to regenerate new cells as it stimulates the production of collagen in your body, helping to maintain skin elasticity. You should drink a glass of water mixed with juice from one lemon each day to get all the benefits of lemon. Using lemon as per the following recommendations for unique advantages in removing back acne scars.
Wash your back with warm water and dry pat. Fill the cotton ball with lemon juice. Use this lemon juice on the wounds of your acne. You definitely need somebody’s support because you can’t put anything on your own back. Leave for 10-15 minutes and wash off afterwards.

2. Sandalwood
To get rid of bacne scars, this is a herbal and nerve-soothing treatment. Indeed, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, cicatrisant, disinfectant, emollient, and astringent are the aromatic sandalwood. All these characteristics can fade the scars of your back acne while soothing the skin. By making a paste of it with rosewater, you can either apply sandalwood alone or make special packs to be applied to your bacne scars.
Whatever sandalwood pack you make, use rosewater instead of plain water in it. Rosewater has anti-inflammatory properties and, apart from mitigating damage from sun exposure, can also soothe irritated skin just like sandalwood. As roses are claimed to have antioxidants to reinforce skin cells and regenerate skin tissue, the combination of rosewater and sandalwood will only bring benefits.
Create sandalwood paste by mixing its powder with rosewater and applying it on acne scars on your back. Sometime after that you can wash it off, but If you can keep this paste overnight on your bacne scars, it’s still better.
Or, mix 1 tsp of sandalwood powder with 1⁄2 tsp of turmeric powder, 5-8 drops of lemon juice, and use rosewater to turn this mixture into a paste. Use this paste on the scars of your back. Note the propensity of turmeric to leave stains. So, after applying this remedy, sit down and wash the paste with lukewarm water or mild soap and water for about half an hour.
3. Coconut Oil
While the coconut oil medium chain fatty acids can excellently heal wounds by stimulating the production of collagen, many other nutrients in it can work to fade away the scars, including bacne scars. Coconut oil contains, among many other nutrients, vitamin E, vitamin K and capric acid. It will help to reduce them by rubbing coconut oil on the scars left by acne breakout.
Put in your palms a little coconut oil. This oil often assumes a solid state due to the cold weather. You might like a little bit of heating the oil. If you take the solid coconut oil in your palm, however, it will melt in no time because of your body heat. Apply this oil on scars and rub softly on your back acne. Massage the skin with coconut oil until it is absorbed. Do it for 5-8 minutes at least.
